Cloudflare browser runtime built specifically for AI agents
Overview
This summary uses submitted and public product material. Only source-mapped claims are documentation reviewed.
Kitesurf is Cloudflare’s stateless browser engine for AI agents. It runs in V8 isolates and exposes browser controls through Browser Run without requiring a full Chromium process.
Listing decision
Kitesurf provides a hosted browser execution surface that agents and automation clients control; it enables agent browsing but does not plan or act as an autonomous agent itself.
Before you choose
Bursty, stateless agent tasks such as compatible-page HTML extraction, screenshots, PDFs, and short isolated browser sessions where Chromium fidelity is unnecessary.
The beta does not yet support video, WebGL, real-TLS bot-challenge handshakes, or long-lived authenticated sessions with persistent state, and it is not intended for pixel-perfect Chromium rendering.
