Corrections, appeals, and removals

Directory claims should be specific enough to challenge. Report the page, the disputed statement, and the strongest first-party source available so the public record can be corrected.

Report

Open a public issue

Use a GitHub issue for an incorrect fact, broken link, changed product, disputed classification, duplicate, or removal request.

Propose

Submit a precise edit

If the correction is clear, propose an edit through the public repository and cite the source that supports each material change.

Inspect

Review the change history

Published edits remain visible in the commit history. A public correction may update or remove the claim rather than silently preserving obsolete wording.

A useful report

Include enough detail to reproduce the issue

  1. Page: the exact agentfirst.directory URL or content-repository file.
  2. Claim: the sentence, field, classification, price, licence, or link believed to be wrong.
  3. Evidence: a specific official document, specification, repository file, release note, or pricing page.
  4. Timing: when the change took effect or when the source was checked, if known.
  5. Relationship: disclose whether you represent, work for, own, advise, or invest in the listed project.

Review process

Evidence determines the response

The maintainer reviews the reported claim against the current inclusion policy and available first-party evidence. The result may be a factual correction, added qualification, link repair, category change, reclassification, temporary unpublication, removal, or no change. The directory does not promise a response time, and complex or contested claims may remain marked as uncertain while stronger evidence is sought.

Appeals

A decision can be reconsidered

A submitter or vendor may appeal a rejection, classification, or removal by identifying the policy criterion at issue and providing stronger first-party evidence. An appeal is a request for another evidence review, not a guarantee of listing, preferred wording, placement, or deletion.

Removal

Listings may be removed when they stop being defensible

  • The product or protocol is no longer publicly available or maintained.
  • Its documented agent role no longer meets the inclusion test.
  • Material claims cannot be verified from a maintained first-party source.
  • The page is a duplicate, impersonation, malicious destination, or persistently broken resource.
  • Keeping the listing would make the directory materially inaccurate or unsafe to navigate.

Security and privacy

Do not publish secrets or private reports

GitHub issues and pull requests are public. Do not include credentials, personal data, embargoed vulnerability details, or confidential vendor material. Report product vulnerabilities through the vendor's security process; use this corrections channel only for the accuracy or safety of the directory listing itself.
