Proof is a collaborative document editor built for humans and agents to work in the same document. Its public product and SDK expose document state, edit, presence, comments, suggestions, and event APIs, with provenance tracking so users can see who wrote what.

Shared writing and review workflows where a human needs to inspect, discuss, accept, or reject an agent’s document changes with explicit provenance.

Known limitations

Agents need a tokenized share link for mutation, comment, presence, and event capabilities, and must manage bearer/share tokens as credentials. The self-hosted SDK requires Node.js and does not guarantee parity with the hosted service.

Not yet verified

Proof’s homepage establishes free access, but the reviewed sources do not document formal pricing limits or a paid tier; recheck before treating paid plans as available. The hosted docs explicitly warn that the open-source SDK is a point-in-time snapshot that may lag production routes, errors, and behavior.
